  • I Pay $540 For This?

    My apartment.

I need a larger place. And I found one! $200 more a month, for twice the square footage ... huge kitchen, dining room, balcony, den, hardwood floors ... and a DISHWASHER (you'd think for what I pay now, I'd get one of those).

    I can't wait until June.

Haha, I pay actually $5 less than you do for my spacious, roomy 2 bedroom with hardwood floors that has a nice view of the surrounding mountains and treetops.

I tell ya, move down here and I'll support you [Wink]

God bless you! I cannot wait until the day I can make that staement. Let's see.... if my house now sells, I might get enough to get out of it and the second we had to get on it when my wife became ill. Then we save enough for a down, buy a new one with another 30 year mortage we can afford on one income, move again after the kids are all out of the house because I have the wanderlust and am bored.....I should be about 97 when I don't have a house payment anymore

Conglatulations! That has to be one of those indescribable feelings.

Nah, I think you are more northern than I am, just slightly anyway if you are near Baltimore.

You'd like Ohio, it's very beautiful. I'm constantly amazed at some of the places I find around here. So, come on down

Actually, it's very comfortable (although very squished). I have a king-sized futon, a couch, a love seat, a computer desk, a dresser, two coffee tables, a 32" tv (with VCR/laserdisc/DVD/N64 all set up), and seven bookshelves (three of those are IKEA's modular, stacking bookshelves, and I used those to "frame" in a "hallway" to the bathroom, to block off the kitchenette, and to create a backstop between the futon and the comp desk).

But I'm looking forward to having a bit more room.

Dang...in my town you could rent a 2000+ sq.ft house for less than 600 a month...with fireplace and 2 car garage.

You would have to mow the lawn though...

You got to be good at shoveling something, right?

Insane, you move down this way and it's a deal ... as it stands, the commute from Towson to Minnesota isn't something I'd like to do once a week (much less three times a week)!

why would you want to live in a little red X?

i pay as much for an 8 year old 1500 sq ft house as i did for a 20 year old 700 sq ft apartment.

i would never do the apartment thing again. i have needs that must not go unfilled...like having a garage with tools, OH OH OH UH AH!
