Okay so I got my rejection letter from one of the local departments and like it said gave the recruiter a call. I

Heh, don't feel bad. I just tested "Inconclusive" on a polygraph on Wednesday. The guy administering it was the same guy who taught our little intro to polygraphs course in the Academy.

He asked me if there was anything that would have me worked up or upset. I told him no...what I didn't tell him is how worked up the POLYGRAPH gets me after reading all the research about how terrible it is. Man...wire me up to that thing, and my pulse goes crazy. Dead serious, he asks me "Do you live in Colorado?" And I answer "Yes" and I can feel my pulse in my fingers!

Don't sweat it. I got rejected by one place for no-notice when I quit a job, and other places haven't even mentioned it (even though I made it clear on my app). You'll find someplace that can accept you.

When you apply at other agencies, make sure you disclose everything you have previously disclosed. Background investigators talk with each other about why candidates were rejected.

My last backgrounder told me she wrote in her final report that she beleives me to be a very honest person... WOOOHOOO>. I actually passed that background... **** its not for a licensed position tho *****

She and the guy from the other PD were both doing backgrounds on me at the same time.. and they shared info like crazy... THANK GOD I had her on my side... She was AWESOME! She comepletely downplayed "the incident" to my other backgrounder and said.. "I hope it helps Gina, cause I want to see you get a job"...I owe a lot to her...

Xanthorius, not to get too much off topic but I will be out in your neck of the woods in June. My wife grew up in Fort Collins and were going there on Vacation. Can't wait!
