        Congratulations Officer Popeye!

I turned in my backround info today and it looks good. I have a formal interview next friday. But i was smart enough to take advantage of a service he provides to look over and proofread my backround info, so when it comes down to the wire there are no surprises. He seemed pleased and said after looking at my packet that the formal interview will take less then the normal time. I too am having a very good day.

So that's our new batch of recruits huh?

Popeye, Stone, Piper, and Faster Fax...

Jesus-I give up-I'm quitting-that job on that dive boat in the Keys is sounding more appealing...

Just kidding! Good luck to ALL of you!

Yeah, and 26+ years from now, when you have all long retired, you are going to say to your grandkids, "You know, I joined the Police Force and had a great career DESPITE what those guys on Officer.com told me!"

By that time, more than likely I will STILL be here!

                    Good luck all of you!

Piper, Make sure that you write N/A on all the lines that are left blank. Because without the BA offering the service he does i would have been embarrassed when i was made to fill in the blanks with red ink. It's not fixable after that and what you turn in is permanent.

Congratulations! I remember my first department, also in Florida(Putnam County SO). I was JUST as excited when I was hired by my current department.

                        Again....CONGRATS!

Olyve is quite happy. Popeye will be home now. The Missus is a wee bit apprehensive due to the nature of work, but overall very pleased. The kids think it is cool. If they are happy, then I am happy. You can tell because I still have a huge smile from that phone call.

Congrats, Popeye. Now each night before you hit the bricks, make sure you have your firearm, your baton, OC spray, vest, and your can of spinach, in case you have to take care of "that big palooka!"

                            Best of luck to you.
