  • Another Great Tulsa Gun Show!

A good n big gun and knife show today in Tulsa, OK! Got a couple of ammo cans for the range (they can't be beat by that plastic stuff).

More and more I am seeing rifles of less than .50 cal being built to look exactly like the high end .50 cal heavy barrel rifles. The most common is the .308 cal, and even (no joke!), the .223 cal.

Their physical setup is very close, but I'm at a loss why someone would want to use a mockup.

The scopes are excessive for the maximum effective range.

But all in all, a good display. And no one went haywire even with all those weapons and ammo at hand!

Did you see any terrorists buying bazookas?

No, but I think I saw ARTIE there on the display floor, surrounded by thousands of weapons, ammunition by the case and fully operational WWII heavy machine guns.

      Artie looked like this

The only terrorist I saw had his picture on a lot of targets at 2 for a $1.00

        Burnes-

I thought of you the other day...

I saw a picture of a policeman in Pakistan with an ENFIELD!

I said to myself "Man that's an ugly gun!"
People have more fun than anybody.

          How's this for ugly?
          150 grain; soft pt; 2,787 FPS; 26 " barrel.
accurate to 600 yards with iron sights.

And when the action gets danger close, it is a better club than those wussy plastic ammo eaters

An Australian maker (still trying to find the ad) is manufacturing new Enfield pattern rifles chambered for 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, and 7.62x39mm. All feature 10 round magazines.
The 7.62N looked pretty good, but I'd prefer a Bushy CAR-15 or Springfield M1A any day. Counting down the days til I'm back in Texas.

A client of mine was had a booth at that show. I asked him how it went and he replied, "I consider Tulsa a good show if nothing gets stolen."
Caution and worry never accomplished anything.
