Former Adams County, Co. sheriff's Deputy, Richard Henn, had been sentenced to 4 years in prison for not preventing the abuse that left his 8 yr. old son disabled. Henn was charged with Negligent child abuse for not stopping his wife from injuring the boy. Henn was also ordered to pay $242,000 in resitution for his sons medical bills. In another negligent child abuse case, Marco Ocho-Lainez and Lillian Barrios pleaded guilty to negligent child abuse after they left 4 yr. old Abel Muoz, whom they were baby-sitting, asleep in their car, while they went shopping, resulting in the boys death due to heat related injuries. Both were sentenced to probation for the death of the toddler.
