  • North Hollywood Shootout

A few months ago someone was asking if a movie had even been made about the North Hollywood incident. I don't remember who it was, and I'm not even sure it was on Officer.com.

If anyone is interested, it is scheduled to be on TV tomorrow (Sunday) night. It is called "44 Minutes" and will be on Fox from 8:00-10:00 PM.

There are several points that can be made to the gun banners from this incident. I'll post them after the movie.

So this is going to be on (FOX) the regular television network? Not cable? I want to see it, but don't have cable......

From what I've been able to find, it will be on FX tonight.

          FX here, not FOX.

It's FX here also. I don't watch that channel often so every time I see FX I automatically think it means Fox.

It's got a TON of goofs in it:

Opening dialog: 'The bank robbers were armed with AK47 machine guns, firing high velocity FMJ bullets. High velocity FMJ bullets were invented to defeat body armor....'

Outside B&B Gun Sales(put out of business by L.A. anti-gun laws): 'Who's gonna pay for all this(asking about the ARs the cops were picking up to use).' The manager at B&B's GAVE the ARs to the cops...no strings attached...to use. Jeeezzz....WHO did the RESEARCH on this script?!?

ALSO...an L.A. prosecutor actually TRIED to levy charges against the cops that got the ARs from B&B's for violating California's '15-day waiting period'.
Typical anti-gun, Hollyweird drivel. I had PLANNED on taping it. Glad I didn't waste the tape....

I dont understand how the second guy died?

One minute he had his hands up with a couple rounds in the thigh and foot, next minute he was dead?

                      and another thing...

If they had fired several drums through those AK's non stop like the shoe depicted, the forearms would have caught fire.

The holes in everything looked alot bigger than .30 caliber holes.

What about when the cop is gathering up the AR's and the guy puts a Remington 700 up on the counter and the cop says something like " I cant beleive people can buy these things "...

                      typical Hollywood.

Oh yea, and did anyone think the brass hitting the floor form the Ak's looked like .308 win?

The second criminal (historically) shoots himself while walking down the sidewalk.

The documentary style ending was pretty cool though. It's a big thumbs up to the good guys.

                              Wanna abe,

It's not (historical). The first subject did stop, and then shot himself at the same instant he received a headshot from an officer. Total fact.
