Hi Ya'll...
I realize the world didn't shut down while I was out of pocket for some time, but I wanted to poke my nose in and say hello again. I've been gone because my sister's husband died on April 30 and as her sister and as a nurse, I went down to Palm Beach Cty. to help with my BIL's care at the end of his life. I fulfilled my promises to him...he didn't die alone nor did he die in pain. He died peacefully at home, in his wife's arms. Rest In Peace, Joe.

Since then, my sister has moved closer to me, which has it's good and bad points, but she's my sister and I love her, so I'll help her. Finally, my life seems to be settling into some semblance of order.

Just to reintro myself...I am 41/female and BLONDE and live in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. I am not nor would I ever have the "gumption" that it takes to be a LEO. I feel ya'll frequently get a raw deal. The amount of sh*t you have to take and maintain a sense of humor...the horrible things people do to each other...the MVA's...I have a deep, abiding respect for all of you who have the cojones to do the work you do.

It's great to be back and I hope everyone has been well.

Welcome back BeatleFan. Sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds like everything possible was done so that he would not be alone in his final hours, that had to be comforting to him. May he rest in peace.

I'm sorry for your loss. It is just one of the things that everybody has to go through. I'm sure that having you there meant a lot to him, and to your sister.
