  • Went to the new diner in town

And while we were eating the waitress came up to us and said,"Everyone is like..that guy is a police officer, gee, I said the guy has to eat. I thought I must have been doing something wrong".

Ya wonder who said it and if it was the teens behind the scenes cooking the food. Then hubby took apart his burger to see if there was any spit in it.

    Makes ya wonder.

Have you ever checked your food before eating it?

Always. Especially when I'm on ride-alongs. We have prostitutes that work in the fast food places around here, thank god I don't eat there

In uniform, I only eat someplace where I can see them prepare my food (Subway and Picadilly Cafeteria are the 2 most frequent). Otherwise, I brown-bag it.

a couple of years back in the Met (LONDON) recruits, training at Hendon Training School came down with serious internal stomach injuries

the "cook" had ground up 10 smashed glass bottles and sprinkled the tiny specks of glass into the recruits food

they ate it and soon became very ill
he was arrested and charged after a top notch CID investigation

imagine that eh? ground up glass going into recruits food!

I don't worry a whole lot about it, but at times check my food. I too ate at the diner the other day, but wasn't very impressed....don't think I'll head back in a hurry!

I wasn't impressed either. It's a nice place for kids to hang out and have a burger after a game or after school. What did you have? I had a cheeseburger and onion rings and french fries and mozzarellla sticks (we all shared the onion rings and mozzarella sticks). I bet you had a malt or shake?!

              Prices were o.k.
