    If you served in the US military between Sept. 2, 1945 to Dec. 26, 1991 you can apply for the US Govt. Cold War Recognition Certificate.

    You can also apply on behalf of a family member to get one for them.

    No medal, just a certificate, but hey, it is free.

        Got mine last year. It hangs next to my other certificates in my "I love me" room. Kind of nice that the government issues some recognition for those of us that served between (official) shooting wars.
