No, the horse didn't survive -- it was killed instantly I believe. I'm just not sure what to do now as far as liability goes. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to get an attorney or not. I called one today but he didn't sound like I needed one right now. I told him I was concerned about my head, neck and back in the long term. The pain has been increasing since Friday. Still waiting to hear about the damage on my car. If they say it's a total loss (which I'm almost sure it is), then I will probably be screwed because I will only get fair market value for it and I owe more than that on it! Believe me, I do know how lucky I was...that was all I could think about in the ER.

I would hire or seek a attorney to make sure that your dealt with on a fair basis. Ask around I am sure there are some outthere that deal with auto accidents as a specialty who would be more knowledgeable to get what you need and see that your well taken care of.

Happy to hear that everyone came out of that allright. Thank God you still here with us. I do think you need to seek an attorney to see what your rights and laws are in this incident.
