  • Dancer Poses on Firetruck

I wondered how bad y'all thought this was.

The local news is taking a survey, 70% say the firefighters did nothing wrong, 30% say they did.

I think they made a dumb mistake... and people gotta realize nowadays the camera is always rolling!

On the film of it on the news, you can see a firefighter trying to pull her zipper up for her (it was stuck). He's not *feeling* her or anything...but the news said "and you can clearly see he's wearing a wedding ring." i thought that was kind of weird! yeah its strange to see his hands on her zipper, but she has stated since that they were all "gentlemen."

    Oh well...

ok I'll be the first to stickout my neck...
On one hand if former president Clinton can (censored) then firefighters can (censored).

I had to change my post after I saw the second video footage. There was no dancing! Yes she was a dancer, but she was not dancing on the truck, (at least the footage did not show her dancing.) The firefighters might of showed a slight lack of judgement for letting her on the truck, but they also let little kids sit behind the wheel, climb all over it etc. Now I heard from my brother,(use to be a pastor for an A.G. church there a ayear ago) that the community is a bit uptight. But from the three stories posted, no civil/constitutional laws were broken or violated. No one was beaten, no suspect was abused in handcuffs! It was just a seemingly nice looking girl with a zipper problem. The only crime I saw was that they didn't send EMTs instead of firefighters [Eek!] Come on now, it was the STONES! [Wink]

        JB,

Honestly I don't think it's a big deal. This happened right here in my home town and I know quite a few of the FF's, some of them very well. Two were coaches for my boys' baseball teams, and one is a neighbor who lived two houses away from me for many years. Many others I knew from the baseball field over the years where their kids played ball. Everyone gets to know one another.

I talked to one Upper Darby FF this evening when I stopped at the store for milk. He was saying here a PO in Philly nearly loses his life, and instead of the media focusing on that story and making sure he's ok, they find more interest in a few FF's taking pics of a woman.

The media didn't say much about Pierre Robert, (pronounced Rowbear) dj for WMMR rock station, wearing a fire hat or being on the truck. Is it because he's not a stripper?

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think they did anything wrong. Maybe because they're from my hometown, and I know they were here for me when I needed them when my house was on fire - I think they're awesome and are all pretty much a class act. The media is making something out of nothing.

          The REAL question is:

          WHERE'S THE PIC?

I do think they're making too big a deal out of it...but you know .. SEX sells! they said tonite that they were giving it so much coverage because of the public interest in it, via emails and phone calls. they even said a large amount of people had asked why her pants were even undone, and so they proceeded to ask her... giving the public the news they want!

Katey, didnt something happen at one of the South Street Mardi Gras celebrations in Philly, where cops either let a topless girl put beads around their neck, or let girls lift their tops? i cant remember...

I kind of remember hearing something about that, but that I'm not too sure about. I'm assuming you mean down in Philly? If that's what you mean, I stay away from South Street on Fat Tuesday. Over the years, the crowds have gotten out of hand.

Maybe one of our Philly cops here can elaborate on that particular situation.

If none of our Philly locals answer, I have a good friend who's Philly PD. Just because curiosity will kill the cat, I'll find out one way or the other and let you know.

The thread title and news report stated dancing,I was commenting on the lack of dancing. Just because she unzipped her shorts that doesn't mean the f.f. are guilty of any misdoing. Zipping up an adult's zipper may be questionable, since she could of done that herself without assistant.
Let's ask steve PA, he sounds like a guy who would of been there working "detail" um-um cough. [Wink]

At least one firefighter snapped pictures, while another smiling smoke eater was captured zipping up Angela's "Daisy Duke" cuttoff denim shorts after the zipper apparently got stuck.

"I couldn't get it up," Angela explained. "So one of the guys was standing there and I said 'Can you help me get this up?'

"The picture was misleading," she said. "He was the perfect gentleman. He didn't try to touch me in any perverted way. He was just trying to help me with my zipper."

Whats a guy supposed to do ?

Shoot, Ive got my zipper stuck before and needed help.

Id rather have a gal help me anyday...
