  • A tradition revived?

During WW1, families of service members were issued a flag that signified their families service. It was a red rectangle, with a smaller white rectangle inside and a blue star for each memeber in the service. I have one denoting the 2 family members fomr one side of my family that were in WW1.

Apparently, the tradition is being revived. I've seen similar flags being sold, only now there are ones for Police, Fire and EMS as well as military.

Yeah, some will dismiss it as a money making scheme, but I kind of like the idea being brought back.

That sounds like a neat idea to bring back. I know I got a coin from being in the gulf war but that is nothing special as it can not be displayed so that it is a eye catcher. I have not seen these up in this area but it sounds like something I would probally buy.
