  • Remember wonderwoman's thread about...

....someone being in her car? Well....imagine my surprise to learn that the key for my '94 CV will UNLOCK my 2001 F150.

    Hmmmm.............. [Eek!]

If anyone is ever in Maine, my car doors are never locked, and you don't need ANY key to start the car. Gotta love those older Oldsmobiles/Buicks... Neat trick that really messes with people who see me start the car w/o a key.

On the off chance the doors are locked though, good luck trying to break in- Since it used to be driven in NYC a lot, we have special plates over the locks so you can't pop them out, and some sort of guard so you can't slim jim it. Guess you just have to smash the window.
Don't take life too seriously- you'll never come out of it alive.

Makes you wonder if the combination locking devices on car doors are any better, worse or the same. I haven't heard either way.

I've always wondered that same thing. Never owned a vehicle that had the combo locks though. hmmm?

Well, on one of our Volvos, the key sends out some special electric current when you actually put it in the lock, Oh well, I don't think any car is unstealable... from tanks to mercedes, there's a way.
