  • What are you Thankful for?

I was reflecting today and so many people came back to me, people who I'm SO Thankful for.
My Mom and Dad, of course, for putting up with me for so many years, and for giving me the best Christmas present, a new kitchen.
My brother, for pulling me around by the hair when I was little, he taught me how to fight, and well.
My Aunt, who died at 39 of alcoholism, and showed me I didn't want to go there.
The KY State Trooper who pulled me out of a ditch when I was 16, and helped save my life.
My nephew and niece, the joy's of my life.
My boss, who takes such good care of me with gifts of food and other goodies.
My town, grieving tonight the loss of our Mayor. Still full of people who care.
Two State Troopers who guarded me during a battle, Terry and Ron, I'll never forget you!
The Firemen who fight to save lives.
    The Police who save lives.
    The Doctors who save lives.
Our Military men and women, who sacrifice so much.
I wish I could have every one of you over for dinner. You're in my prayers.
I'm sure I've missed a few, but I'm Thankful for everyone who has crossed my path,
I was taught something along the way.

And my friends at who keep me in stitches and keep me in line.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jules, Great post......may I add some things.

I am greatful for surviving my accident.....

I had a friend forward this to me, it is simple but.......

I am thankful for the wife who says it's hot dogs tonight, because she is home with me, and not out with someone else.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is home with me and not out at the bars.

For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes because that means she is at home, not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means that we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church that sings off key because it means that I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive.

And finally...For too much e-mail because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.

I've read that too. I love it! When I get into a Pity Party, that brings me around. I've got it all!!! And I'm not even a millionaire!

That was great Grace, thank you. That pretty much sums it up. I am thankful for a wonderful wife, kids and family. For true friends and for having the greatest job in the world. I am thankful for every day that I get to enjoy these people and things. I wish you all a peaceful and joyous holiday.

I am thankful that my wife takes care of me, among other things.
