  • Dad's tips leads to child porn arrest

Here in the Springs, the father of a 13yr. old female (yes, his daughter) discovered that she was using her computer, internet, and a web cam to send nude photos of her self to a man in New York state. The father sent the information to the C.S. PD, who in turn contacted the FBI and the case was worked and the arrest of 40 yr old Duane Arthur Myers of North Tonawanda in Niagara County, NY. The girl was promised $100.00 per photo but was never paid. The male subject then threatened the girl for more photos and if she did not priduce them, he was going to print the photos and then mail them to her parents. The girl, who met the man online, used her real name, gave her home address and real phone number. The case also involved the resources of the Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children's Cyber tip line. The man arrested was living with his g/f and her children.
Here is one big HURAGH to the good guys on this one. Another cyber prowler scumbag is out of a home and off the net.

I was glad to read this. My neice is a police officer. She's 26, very young looking. Thye had her meet a pedophile a detective had been talking to online. She had to dye her hair red and wear sunglasses becaus she has blue eyes and the 13 yar old "girl" he thought he was talking to suposedly had green eyes.
She said she really had to do very little. She met the guy in a restaurant and after they ascertained he said who he said he was, they moved in and arrested him. She left quickly so he couldn't get a really good look at her.
She absolutly loves being a police officer. Her husband and my nephew are also police officers.
Always makes me fel good when I hear a pedophile is arrested.

i can't understand how a 13 year girl would even have the nerve to take and send nude photos of herself ALONG with personal information such as her name, address, etc. apparently all the news of abducted and dead young girls recently hasn't reached her brain waves yet!!!
      I'll post, You argue.

Nick, my son did things that defied reasoning as a teenager. I used to just shake my head. No matter how much you warn kids about things, somestill do them. It's called being a kid. My son always had to learn the hard way. He told me yesterday, "Wow, I was really hard to raise, wasn't I?" I told him he was the joy of my life and a real challenge and high maintenance, but I wouldn't have had it any other way.
        I love him dearly.
I think it's to the girl's fathers credit he discovered this. I know, if I had a 13 year old with a computer, ISP and a webcam, I'd be checking that computer everyday!

            nickg,

I teach in a middle school, with kids age 10-14. NOTHING surprises me any more about this age group.

Last year, we had a 14 year old girl that sent nude digicam pics of herself to her boyfriend....who then printed them out for all his buddies.

When she found out what he had done, she ran away from home, later surfacing in Memphis, over 90 miles away, after an intense search lasting almost a month.
"When you guys get home and face an anti-war protester, look him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend, because she knows she's dating a *****."
