Goin' huntin'

Yup...off for a couple of weeks. Going black bear hunting next three days. Been trying for one of these big guys for several years, been in the right church, but wrong pew a few times.

The next week I'll be hunting for deer. I'm scheduled for a trial on Tuesday at 8am , hopefully the dufus will plea out before then.

Any other hunters out there??? I'll be using a .44 magnum handgun for both

Mike, that's why I'm for the deer. They aren't violent.

When I said I hope the deer wins, I meant I hope it finds a good hiding place or runs fast enough to escape. Did you think I meant something else?

I am however slightly despondent. Chi-Chi's closed, I hated the atmosphere at Bertucci's, and I just found out my up-coming job at TGI-Friday's fell through because they can't work their training schedule around my class schedule. So I'm just slightly sinking beneath my bills. Just slightly.

I love to hunt. Last few years I've only been able to manage quail, chukkar dove and a couple of coyote hunts. I really enjoy hunting hogs. Deer hunting is a bit of a PITA in Ca. I really like bear meat, reminds me of hog.

Well, Steve, if you lived in my town, you'd be getting paid to hunt! The city just decided to pay police officers overtime to hunt deer (at night-time, no less!) in the city limits. We have a bit of a deer problem in town and that's how the city decided to correct it.

Brings back lots of memeories.

I dont hunt everything. I only hunt a few selected species.

Deer,bear,squirrel,coyote,turkey,duck,geese,quail, wild hog,rabbits,crows, thats about it.

Killed a bear last year with the muzzeloader.Whacked 2 deer with a bow and one with a .308. Ive got a Colt Anaconda that Id like to kill a deer with, its about the only weapon I havent killed anything with.

Ive lot a lot of dinks walk by already. If I dont see one bigger than the two racks on my wall, Im not messing with it. Im in the "trophy" stage ya know ?

Good luck on the bear hunt.Shooting its the easy part.Its a lot of work after that.

Shooting. Hah. The real trick is to get the animal to jump in front of your car. Then animal control gets to clean up the mess.

Love to hunt. Dove,quail,turkey, not a big deer hunter. I'll only hunt animals if I can be moving for the majority of the time. Tracking, checking on diffrent areas.

I hate and won't set up a feeder then wait around for an animal to walk up. Not alot of sport in shooting an animal that you baited. I don't get as many kills but I enjoy the ones I do get much more.
