We went to the dr today. Tests show there is a 1% chance that David could go deaf and blind if he has this surgery. Understandably, he has opted to exhaust all medications before he goes this route.
I'd give anything if this had happened to me and nt my son.
I'm gonna go eat ice cream.

I'll eat a bowl for you and your son too Mitzi!

BTW, a one percent chance is really not that bad, but I certainly agree with making it the LAST option! There is always some danger with ANY surgery. Something that a lot of surgeons don't bother to tell you.

          Ex-Beatle 'fighting brain tumour'

FORMER Beatle George Harrison is battling a brain tumour, according to reports from the UK.

It is understood he has been having radiotherapy at an exclusive Swiss clinic.

Sky News reports the clinic will release a statement later today.

Harrison, 58, had a tumour removed from a lung earlier this year.

The Sun newspaper says he is believed to be having his latest treatment at San Giovanni clinic in Bellinzona.

Radiotherapy is essentially what my son wil have. Docotrs kep telling me tht a brain tumor is "merely an overgrowth of cells". Yea, but it wasn't on THEIR kids brain!
