  • Help Stamp Out "Kiddie Porn"

Dear Law Enforcement Professional/Retired Law Enforcement Professional:

Greetings. My name is Ron Holmes and I am a Director with SafetyEd International, a non-profit organization formed in 1998 and dedicated to internet safety and awareness. I am the Director of the SafetyEd International TRACE (Tracking Resources Against Child Exploitation) team. I am also a former police officer. One of our specific goals is to rid the internet and the world of child exploitation and more specifically child pornography on the internet. TRACE submits reports to NCMEC (National Center For Missing And Exploited Children), US Customs and other law enforcement agencies with information that can lead to the arrest of individuals who exploit the innocent. In addition to these lofty goals, SafetyEd International offers education in the way of resources and live presentations to schools, parent groups and other community organizations, and a CyberStalking and Harassment Advisory Service, which offers information and services to people who are harassed and stalked on-line. In addition, our IRC (Internet Relay Chat) and AOL teams offer help to people who use these services, with information and live help in the case of IRC.

As a former police officer, I am seeking the involvement of other law enforcement professionals to help us combat the outrageous proliferation of "kiddie porn" on the internet. Our founder, Colin Gabriel Hatcher, is a world renowned internet pioneer with experience beyond his years. He is also a practicing CyberSpace attorney. He and several others in our group have been active since 1994 in training law enforcement professionals worldwide. In addition, we have been instrumental in the arrest and positive prosecution of internet pedophiles throughout the world.

We are actively recruiting volunteers to join our organization and would ask that if you have the time, please visit our site at http://www.safetyed.org and sign up today. You will receive training by experts that will teach you to become an effective TRACEr and the training modules allow you to learn at your own pace. You can contact me at [email protected] or Mr. Hatcher at [email protected] We know your time is valuable and we are sure that once you decide to get involved with SafetyEd you'll have a greater appreciation for what we stand for.

    Respectfully submitted for your consideration.

    Ron Holmes
    Director, SafetyEd TRACE

Links to Kiddie porn are often posted on THIS site-----<deleted>

I reported them to my local PD once already, and posted a topic here about it as well. Funny, soon after I posted it here the links were deleted.

I'd watch it if I were you though. Last time they were posted, the links were up for quite a wile and were scatterd all over the forum.

The forum owners may have banned the individual who was doing it. You may want to contact them and have them lift the ban, and then wait untill a new link is posted and go after it full throttle.

I cliked on the link to see what the conversation was about initially. I figured it had some thing to do with martial arts and child explotation, from a selfdefense point of view, and I was shocked when I saw little kids (12 maybe) in full pornographic poses, not even a conversation linking to a site, but a direct link from the subject title. Just ask some of the guys on this forum, a few looked at the link and weren't to happy.

These are the urls the links from that site went to.

We will not assist in driving traffic to those sites.

You can contact me at [email protected], or visit my Kung Fu forum at www.royaldragonusa.net

"Funny, soon after I posted it here the links were deleted."

I'm missing the funny part. Care to elaborate?

      Royal Dragon,

Last time is was a request, this time it is a warning: Do not post links to child porn site on this forum again.

Even if your intention is to show it to people for education and awareness, when they click on that link, it shows up on their server as visits from officer.com. That encourages their email harvesting bots to come here, scour this site for email addresses and fill everyones inbox with junk mail for kiddie porn.

And, it simply makes us look bad.

I had contacted my Local PD, with little help, but as soon as I posted those links here, the owners of the other message board deleted them. Conincidance?? Or did someone from this forum get something done??

Apparently this other message board was not doing anthing about the appearance of links to Child porn sites on thier forum. I don't know If I had anything to do with them finnaly doing something about that, but they were deleted soon after I started complaining to the authorities and posting info about the links on that forum here. Maybe not as fast as I would have liked, but they did dissapear. That other forum had links going back 6 months to those sites and the admins didn't care at all.

I don't know about the site themselves as I don't make it a habit to visit that stuff, but at least the other message board forum removed the links to those sites.

I think it is sad that I had to actually voice concern to the authorities about it before anything got done. I would think the regular matial artists that freaquent that site would have complained long before I did. I'm not even a regualr there, I just stumbled apon it doing a search on Tae Kwon Do. Heck, I can't uderstand why the Admins of that forum tolerated them either.

              Dear Royal Dragon et al:

It's a shame, but I've found in my 7-8 yrs of experience of seeking out "Kiddie Porn" and trying to get the pedophiles prosecuted that we seldom get the support of the ISP. It is usually a violation of their TOS and they delete and destroy the evidence before law enforcement can make a case against them. I am currently working with a US Senator to try to close the loopholes in the law and make the ISP's responsible. Case in point: the FBI asked Yahoo to keep the sites up and running, giving the FBI time to acculate evidence. But, after about 2 weeks, Yahoo shut down the site, thus erasing all evidence. You may remember the case, "Operation Candyman". SafetyEd International is sincerely interested in getting LE more involved, however, we will take interested individuals over the age of 21. Again, you can signup at http://www.safetyed.org. Thanks to all for their responses.
