  • If you need help

This is the place to come. There are a few ****oles out there that will f*ck up any thing but when my wife died many people offered support by private email or on the forum. That in mind Christina. Many people on here care. For get the rest and rely on the positive ones and don't let them get to you. [Wink]

Walk away, Joseph, just walk away.

    And quickly!

It's good to offer &, yes, we're here for anyone with a problem but she's apparantly upset with something that we can't help with right now. Good to keep the lines of communications open though.

The concept that maturity and immaturity have an effect on a mentally ill persons disease process and symptoms, shows how truly ignorant people are to the reality of mental illness. [Frown]

I sincerely pray that none of you suffer from mental illness in your lifetime and that no one you know does, but the odds are not in favor of it never happening.
So take some time to read and read with an open mind, you may need this info to help yourself or a loved one. The Stigma of Mental Illness

                Yenta,
I don't think you meant to be malicious or cruel, sorry if I inferred that.
I just want to educate people on this topic and to make them rethink their current positions.
Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, your words show that you are indeed ignorant of the facts and your opinion is based in falsehoods and stereotypes.
While my words do apply to your comments, they also apply to several other people who posted in other threads.
It seems that even in these enlightened times, we are not very enlightened.
I did not mean to single you out, but I get tired of hearing the same falsehoods repeated here, my workplace and in society as a whole.
Opinions are great, informed opinions are even better.

Joseph, I don't think I know you but I am so sorry for your loss.

I am glad we have forums such as these to offer support to other LE family members. I will be needing lots of "chin ups" (well....the real ones too, I plan to lose about 20 lbs when hubby is gone) lol

Yesterday we went to the coast guard station and gathered all of his belongings for his sentence. lol Hey..I have to laugh, right? The good thing is that he'll be home as often as he can. Probably about 2x a month. It all starts Monday. Wish me well!

Thanks for your support, in my case anyway. I appreciate knowing that I am still part of the LE family even if I will be a military wife for a few months.

                    Lisa,
Of course you are part of the family.
                    Good luck.
We all need some support from time to time, I mean emotionally, not that kind of "support". [Wink]

                    Joseph,
I am sorry to hear about your loss.

If we don't take care of each other, nobody will.
