  • Genetic Discrimination

A 45 year old man pressed discrimination charges agaist the railroad he works for when they tried to require him to submit his DNA for testing. He has carpal tunnel syndrome and the company said they just wanted to use the DNA to further test workplace factors or genetic factors could predispose a worker to carpal tunnel syndrome. But, the workers are concerned the tests could be used to discriminate toward them and toward future workers because of diseases they are gentically supseptible to.

Well perhaps I'm off base here. In fact I probably am.

But it seems like much ado about nothing. And I CAN tell you that there are no bigger babies in the world than railroaders. They cry about everything! WAH!
