OUCH!

Today, a person in an apartment complex noticed three men acting strangely. They parked at the end of the complex, on a dirt road and kept going back and forth to their cars. When a truck arrived, the resident decided that it was a good idea to call the poice because something was definitely off.
One police car arrived, then another and the men took off when they saw them (on foot). One officer that was running after them tripped and fell on his baton.....breaking three ribs. Even so, he tried to go after them but was in just too much pain.
This just happened so I don't kow exactly what they found. I know one suspect was caught. Probably drugs but I'll know more tonight.

Oh how terrible! People really need to be careful when they suspect they have broken a rib(s). A shattered bone like that can puncture lungs or the heart. Just last week, a young girl in my county was in a car wreck. She got out of the car and was moving around quite a bit. As it turns out, she had some broken ribs (in the front and back both) and she ended up puncturing her heart and died because of it.

He's ok because when other cops got there, they made him lay down like really fast. I guess his adrenalin was going and he didn't realize the extent of the injury until he tried to get up.
