What do you fellow board members think about this concept? I have term and the insurance company is trying to get me to switch to whole life. As an officer, Do you find that due to your dangerous job, you stockpile insurance in order to make sure your family is well provided for? Or do you often get denied, due to your dangerous job?

I have to admit that I am not investment-conscious, and just went with the term-life that they stuck under my nose to sign onto when I joined. I have shown the monthly premiums vs death value to fraternal insurance salesmen over the years, and no one can touch it. Down side is, however, no cash value.
That, plus any time I have a cough, the better half tells me to suit up for work, so at least if I die on duty, she and the kids are set for life!
Oh well, at least I will be a handsome corpse!
