I found this site while shopping for a new check design. I think they are great.

I am not a pro in the area of making web sites but it looks great to me!

They were outsourcing the site to a person that was developing the site in Netobjects Fusion. The Information Systems team finally convinced them to hire someone full time.
I found out about the job the day before it closed, turned in my application 1 hour before the final closing time after digging up all the required documents and things.
It's not at all what I had expected, but I think in may ways it's better. The *best* part is going to work every day and NOT hearing anything about an "IPO".

Looks good. I remember the old PBSO site and thought that for a dept. that big, they could do better. Now they have.

Guest repliedGreat site!
I too had to look at the booking section and was quite surprised top see all of the info.
I think Obstruct by Disguise is giving the wrong identification when pulled over or the wrong information. Let me know because i just took a wild guess on this one.

David,
Your web site is both well done and pleasing to the eye.

The site looks very nice. I was too suprised to see the booking info online, but had to be nosy and look at the last days bookings.I had no probs - I use Netscape 4.76.
So, what's -- OBSTRUCTION BY DISQUISE ? Some guy's in there for that.
Also wondering why - in this thread - I have to scroll outwards to the right.

Which version of Netscape? I've tested it with Netscape 4.7 and 6.0 and haven't come across any errors. The old site on the other hand, was NOT Netscape friendly at all... have a look at the Bicycle Registration.
I rarely use Times New Roman either, but I wanted to be consistant with the rest of the material they were printing and using, which all used Times New Roman.
Thanks for your feedback!

Guest repliedHi David and welcome to the forum
The site looks VERY nice100% improvement from the old site. You might want to check the site in Netscape though.. I got a lot of errors when viewing it in Netscape.
To reduce load time, you may want to eliminate the images of the text links on the left side and just make them text links instead. Also you should look at some of your images to see if you can compress them further.
And just my personal preference.. I hate Times New Roman font.. I always like to use verdana but that is just personal taste
All in all, excellent job

Law Enforcement Web Sites
Hello, I just finished my first Law Enforcement web site. I've done several for other things, but never for law enforcement.
I was interested in getting some comments on the new site, plus I would like to hear from some officers and some people that aren't working in law enforcement to see what kind of things you'd like, or expect, to see on a law enforcement site.
The new site is at http://www.pbso.org. You can see the old site from before I started working here at http://www.pbso.org/default.htm
I'm open to all comments both good and bad. I know there's still room for improvement, but it's just a starting point.
Thank you for your time, please move or delete if this is in the wrong forum.
