Anyone here ever been there? If so, what is it like at this time of year? I'm going to go there this weekend and try to get some good shots in before fall totally disappears.

I went backpacking there back in 1989, nice area. As I remember, lots of mixed forests and ferns. I was there in the summer but I can only imagine that it is gorgerous this time of year. However, it may be a little too far past peak right now for good color.Do your best, do what is right

That's what I was afraid of.. I just got a severe case of wanderlust and wanted to go on a daytrip this weekend and Red River Gorge is about 2.5hrs away.
Sigh.. I've missed all the good shots this fall.No partner is worth your tears -
