I collect Depression Glass and Bride Dolls.
Depression Glas is glass that was cheaply sold or given away during the Depression. There are many patterns but I collect Mayfair Open Rose, a light pink pattern. I started collecting it years ago, when it was still cheap. I just thought it was pretty and I didn't get china when I was married. Much to my surprise, Depression Glass became very collectable and my pattern became one of the top patterns. I remember collecting it for like, a dollar a plate and I paid 3$ for the candy dish! I recently had my glass appraised and insured for $3,000. You could have knocked me over with a feather!
I also colect bride dolls. I started putting a few among the few antiques that I have and it kind of took off on it's own. Now, I have too many! lol I love my antique ones and my husband bought me the most gorgeous one last year. But my pride and joy is my Shirley Temple doll I got when I was 10. She is a childhood doll and is now 41 years old!

I collect comic books and scifi books (what a shock right). Just to be clear I do not live in my parents garage or basement................anymore
I have about 400 novels/short story collections and about twice that in comics.
