Had a busy few days, 207?? [Wink]

anyhow, i'm finally freeeee! AND the person who came to plow, got stuck and had to call for backup! they did a great job tho, even did my steps really good, shoveled out my truck, and moved it while they got rid of ALL the snow. i was very pleased and happy to be able to go out again.

    BOY, DOES THAT SOUND FAMILIAR!!!!
She forgot to mention SHE didn't do the front and rear decks, pulling most of the snow off the roof, cleaning the gutters of ice build up, digging a path to the oil fill and propane tank and lets not forget access to the MAILBOX!! [Eek!]

There isn't any surf on the west coast of florida, is there?

I will hopefully get to see a friend of mine who now lives in Tampa so I'm excited about that! Our husbands used to be stationed in the same area back in 1994 in the Coast Guard. And visit Busch Gardens while we're there. The kids will love that, they've never been.

Hubby got called out last night after his shift to a 911 hangup (which turned out to be nothing)and then got his cruiser stuck in the snow. HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE! Well, not funny for him because he was stuck for about 2 hours and never made it home until 7am. Doh! Shhhhh, first he "ran and fell". Now, poor guy got stuck! I think he's having a bad week... Holy Big@$$ Snowdrift Batman, the Humvee's stuck! I know I'm late posting on this thread, but I've been working since Sunday afternoon. CHA-CHING! D@mn did we get some snow! (at least for this area) I was supposed to be off Sun. - Tues., but since the Gov. declared a state of emergency, me and my 4X4 patrol vehicle were called in to assist the state police troop in this county. I was on the night shift which made things even more interesting. The number of boneheads out driving around w/o even 4WD was just insane. Tow companies were charging upwards of $100 to pull people out. Then they want to get ****ty with me about what the tow guy's charge. Serves 'em right for trying to drive in a blizzard with a mustang. It was fun though, all I had to was drive and watch the trooper's back, they did all the talking and all the paper. Sweet gig!

Because in a normal winter, we get MAYBE one snowstorm that needs plowing! AND i have a 4WD 4Runner...which doesnt matter however, when the snow is halfway up the doors. i thought of putting it in 4WD and just trying to go up and down the driveway (which is very long). But i have no doubt that the snow is too deep. I'm still waiting to hear back from a "snow removal" guy, and i'm still stranded!!

They'll pay for it less the $500 deductible, but my insurance agent said that since the car was moving when the tree fell on it, they might treat it as a collision and my rates could go up.

So it looks like either way I'll be paying for it. I hate insurance companies!

SHHHHHHHHH! I'm barricaded in the living room.
Things deteriorated quickly here, this morning, when the Dish stopped working, causing the 4 year old to begin rioting. As soon as he reaized that SpongeBob would not be coming to play, things got ugly. I took cover in a closet when the matchbox car assaults began. I thought of taking control of the situation through the dispersion of OC, but the doors are still drifted shut.
I negotiated a brief cease-fire when I broke out the birthday cake, but I forgot to factor in the sugar effect and all peace was broken.

After withstanding several attacks, I remembered that my beloved PENS were on tonight. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
I escaped through a second floor window and climbed up to clear the Dish.

So....SHHHHHHHHHH...I'm in here with the volume down low and I deployed a distraction.....
    PLAY-DOH!
