  • Why North Korea, why???

I'm sorry but I am absolutely furious about how the world is today and I wanted to express my emotional uneasiness. So if anyone could hear me out...please....

Everyday, frusturation builds up inside me. Why invent nuclearly hazardous materials? What is the end result they want to see? Do they want to blow up the whole world? Do they want to dominate South Korea? What is it? Why aren't they complying to the peace treaty? Why are they backing out of it now?

I don't want any country to go to war for any reason. I don't more miliary men and women to lose their lives for the sake of our freedom and peace. Why stir up an issue and make it a big catastrophe for the whole world to deal with?

Stay safe, you guys. I hope none of you are going through an anxiety as I am.

Kodi, I don't WANT war either. But the fact is that we are probably going to have it. There is no way that you are going to really be able to change what is going to happen. CERTAINLY not by having a nervous breakdown over it.

I do understand your concern. However having lived through Korea, the bomb shelters of the fifties and sixties, Viet Nam etc etc etc I can tell you that your anxiety is pointless. Because there really is nothing you can do about what happens.

Try to keep focused on other things. While you must face life and the reality that is going on in the world, (unless you want to just "drop out" and go be a Jehovah's Witness,) you need to go on and live your life.

Now i am no expert in this....but North Korea is nation with a crumbling economy and no food or fuel for its people. By restarting its Nuke program, they are in effect trying to extort the world into giving them what they need. It is easier to steal bread than grow wheat and make it yourself.

If they were to launch a Nuke at us or even S. Korea, our response would be to annihilate the entire country, which is the size of Pennsylvania, in minutes. It would be suicide to try anything foolish.

I still have family members who live in South Korea. For anyone who wants to ask if I'm from the North or South, I'm from South Korea.

I'm not going insane about this but I can't help but be stressed out thinking about what's going on.

I guess, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Humans have fought wars against each other since before recorded history. We always will. It is in our basic nature to fight for our beliefs, or to fight for territory. Heck, even lower animals fight over territory.

I don't think It'll happen in the US because we don't trust our government. We are a country of skeptics, raised by skeptics, founded by skeptics. - Amaroq

My oldest grandson is in the Navy. He was sent to Okinawa just before Christmas. Naturally I am not exactly happy just now, but I was never the type to just assume that the worst will happen. There is nothing I can do to prevent it but perhaps there will be some little way I can help if it does happen.

I can remember my mother thinking that if I didn't sit around worrying about a particular problem it meant I didn't care. It wasn't that I didn't care. For some reason I just didn't worry. That probably doesn't make much sense, but I was like that even as a teenager.
