      doesn't anyone realize by now that if you bring a knife to a gun fight your gonna lose? LOL I think the officers should be commended for using restraint and doing all they could to apprehend the subject in a fashion as to not cause any harm to themselfs or the subjects girlfriend. The fact that he stabbed himself instead of the officer he was aiming at is good. I would rather see him harm himself and have our brother go home to his family.

        Typical media garbage, the way this is worded. It makes the deputies sound like the made the whole thing up when the writer says they "claim". Why not use non-inflammatory language like "stated" or "reported". And saying someone is under investigation is normally reserved for criminals, not the good guys.

          Typical of both the press and many police administrations. Its presumed that the cops are guilty of something and that presumption will remain even if they are proven innocent.
