  • Q: How Did Civilians Find/Hear About Officer.com?

We have a lot of excellent civilian members, how did you find out about this site?

Crazyjeep- Did you find it listed as an anti-liberal site on ACLU.com?

555, did you find it linked to WhiteMalesBad.com?

    All kidding aside...

I know there are alot of aspiring officers out there but I wonder how members like Zalman E. found O.com.

    Do tell.

Actually, no, I was asking a lot of questions about police on one UBB, and someone said "hey, go here ..."

A friend of mine who is a PO in Philadelphia told me about the site a few years ago. As far as I know, he's not a member of the forum, but used to go to the chat room on occasion. He used the site more for resource.

I lurked on the forum for quite some time before I registered, but was in the chatroom on a regular basis. Now, I rarely go to the chatroom and feel very comfortable here.

I've been coming to Officer.Com (mainly to read)
for 2-1/2 years and it is still one of my favorite sites.

A police officer sent me here after my inquiries about being an officer. He thought I might learn something about Law Enforcement.

I came here via the patriotic underground to find out just how many cops are going to violate my civil right.

So far all but one... [Wink]

I always give everyone I arrest a business card with site addy on it. I figured we might need some differing view points on here.

I first heard of the site through a link through the UMaine Police Department's website. They have some interesting links, like one to the WWW Speedtrap Registry?? Seems to me that might cause some cognitive dissonance...
I'm glad the site's here though, and that you (mods) are willing to keep it up, as well as answer questions(everyone).

There used to be a link to O.com on my local department's website. That's how I found it.
