    i have also always heard to NEVER keep your SS card in your wallet...

    this is more proof that nobody should. i always did til a few years ago. hope everything gets taken care of, Cop.

    I keep mine a HOME. Thing is, when they run your plate they get the registration info. so if it aint your car they will know. I'd only carry it when I just bought the car and the state computers havent entered it yet. BUT, I know some states require that... still cant figure that one out though.

    But DEFINATELY call the credit bureaus and put an alert on your name. You can do that. we recommend it at our PD. Good luck.

    Call the Credit Reporting Agencies and put a fraud alert on your account.

    The original person on the phone will probably play/be dumb and tell you there is no such thing. Get a supervisor.

    If you don't have an alarm at your house you should get one, NOW!
