Man puts up new street sign honoring two slain cops (but didn't get permission)

My understanding is that Detective Ramos and Detective Liu are going to get streets named after them. I guess this guy couldn't wait. I wonder if he will be charged with anything:

Sorry, I honestly didn't mean to upset anyone. Although misdirected, I thought it was kind of a nice gesture.
We recently had someone try to burn a memorial to a killed officer twice during the week of Christmas. When I was taking the report, the woman reporting actually apologized that I had to see it, I hadn't expected
I wasn't trying to come off as the "we have better things to do guy," or anything like that. But I'd take this guy's excitement to rename a street after some murdered cops over people in the street calling for those murders.
