I remember initial reports listing Sandy Hook as being unincorporated.

Even if I am wrong on the specifics zoning of the school, I am not wrong about how UCR stats are recorded.

Feel free to check the Conn State Police murder stats for 2012. You will find the Sandy Hook Massacre listed there. For whatever reason (unincorporated, State jurisdiction over schools, it's just the way Connecticutt does it) these murders are listed at the State level.

I get the conspiratorial aspects of this incident, but the FBI has no reason to delete these murders from the UCR. They are simply compiling stats they are given.

Why do you guys think this is a conspiracy?

On facebook, the topic comes up every so often, and a facebook friend (whom I respect) believes that it was a hoax: that's why I even consider the possibility.

Crime stats are generated by the Jurisdiction of Record. Since Sandy Hook was in an unincorporated area of Newtown it falls to the Conn. State Police to report it, which they did.

Okay. I looked on Google maps for "Newtown, CT", and it gave me a map of Newtown, with the borders outlined: Sandy Hook Elementary School is well within those borders. So I went to the City of Newtown website and searched for an official city map, but I did not find a map there, not even a simplified one for visitors, nor a zoning map in the zoning section, nor a parks map in the parks section, nor any other map: http://www.newtown-ct.gov/Public_Documents/index.

This is why I have a huge problem with the Postal Service allowing unincorporated areas into the same zip as a city. A simple clerical practice for the right hand makes the left hand look like it is hiding something.

This seems to STRENGTHEN the position of those who say that the Sandy Hook massacre was some kind of sinister government hoax (to help enact more gun people control laws). I have some opinions about 9/11 (devout Muslims attacking the power centers of the unbelievers) and Obama's birth certificate (a forgery to anyone who has studied it), but I would like to continue to believe that the Sandy Hook massacre was real. Now: why does the FBI indicate that there were no murders in Newtown in 2012?
