We have the same thing here but with dirt bikes. We are not allowed to chase them so they ride yo and kick our cars flip us off and speed away. Do wheelies down the highway. People get ****ed at us be our hands are tied they are normally young teens like 14 ish. The first time we try to stop one and they crash and die it would be our butts.

Happens to us all the time with both road and dirt bikes. Anyone that pursues a bike would get a big telling off because bo supervisor is ever going to believe that the risks are worth the result to be achieved.

There are other methods for stopping them that I've seen from time to time making use of unmarked cars, traffic lights and a good shove...

Michigan State Police will chase anyone for anything until the wheels fall off. Even motorcycles. Not too long ago, they pursued a motorcycle and the idiot crashed his bike and died. I have ZERO problem with that.

My comment about the MSP and Michigan wasn't in response to your statement about the kids you deal with. I don't know why you responded to my comment as if it was in response to your comment.

Around here, the police deal (mostly) with adults on their crotch rockets who ride like idiots - riding over 100 mph, going in and out of traffic, and doing stunts. Most of it occurs on the freeways or sometimes major surface streets with multiple lanes and higher speed limits.

If one of them CHOOSES to run from the police and get killed - that's on THEM. I won't shed any tears and I don't blame the police for trying to stop them. I don't apologize for my opinion.
