I'm certainly not sure why the guy was laying in the road (certainly not a safe place to be), but I'm not sure how the driver didn't notice him either. He must have been looking at something off to the side. I can't imagine that he was hit intentionally.

Read the second article---------------it has the explanation as to why the officer did not see the person in the street

AND why WE can see him in the video
Since some people need to be told by notes in crayon .......Don't PM me with without prior permission. If you can't discuss the situation in the open forum ----it must not be that important

My new word for the day is FOCUS, when someone irritates you tell them to FOCUS

I read it. I suppose years of dodging animals\ladders\trash on the road has just made me a very, very attentive and paranoid driver.

At least it wasn't as bad as this Russian APC driver (runs over a soldier... in formation... in broad daylight):

Stuff like the Russian incident is why we ALWAYS had ground guides when driving armored vehicles around people. When moving through places like Baghdad you kind of had to rely on the frogger principle and count on the pedestrians to stay out of the way.

Visibility in those things is like trying to drive while looking out of a hole the size of a shoebox.
