Actually, it's kind of embarassing to me, as a North Carolinian.

Actually, Sam, according to her, he snapped them without her being aware of it. She claims she found out after the fact.

The ladies ex-boyfriend is a dog. She is one of thos ladies who have focused their life on such beauty contests, and had first begun when she was just a child.

She is a North Carolina Lumbee Indian, and is a role model for those young girls. When she broke up with her bastard of a boyfriend, he had told her he would destroy her prospects. He sent many letters out, alerting people to the existance of photos which he had taken of her while she was dressing / undressing, without her knowledge.

The Judges caved. The lady caved at first, but then realized she had nothing to be ashamed of, that if anyone did, it would be that ex-boyfriend who has shown to the world that he has no morals, no maturity.

If anything, the boyfriend should have his picture in the newspaper as someone who caused so much trouble, because he lacks the emotional control of a 5 year old. And, just be told to post his photos and be damned. They would have no impact on the contest, the Judges nor the lady.

This lady is no bimbo. She is a hard working lady who is meeting her goals.

To be more clear (and so Burnes don't come kill me ) I meant I'm ashamed of the controversy and that it can't be settled by a NC court, so that there are TWO "Miss NC's" in the pageant. No...THAT won't draw attention...

I didn't mean anything about either one's character. I wouldn't want an ex-girlfriend to come back with any of MY nekkid pics and ruin me either.

It is sad. But people can be so vindictive. No need to be embarassed, Sgt. Dave. TO be honest, I would move to North Carolina if my husband would. It is a gorgeous state. But, ny husband is a Florida boy, born and bred here, just like our son. I'll never get him out of Florida. But I just love North Carolina, really.

I agree Mitzi NC is a very nice looking state but I have a thjng about living in a state where you can be hit witha hurricane once every other year. LOL Besides I think Iowa is a very beautiful state too. Granted we do not have mountains but all those fields of corn is very nice to look at.

As far as the two contestants I think that the original Miss NC should be the sole cometitor from that state.

The biggest thing I hear around here is that she VOLUNTARY resigned her title when the controversy started, THEN after the second girl (the blonde-HUBBA-HUBBA!!!) accepted it, NOW she wants it back since they ruled that the photos BY THEMSELVES wouldn't have AUTOMATICALLY disqualified her.

It's kind of a Richard Nixon thing...she resigned BEFORE action was taken. Then, then upon finding out it wouldn't have caused her to lose it automatically, now she wants it back.

At least, this is the way I understand it.

The contest administrators need to get into the modern era. The idea that somehow the title holder should be some pristine, virginal and spotless person is outdated.

This woman didn't go out and sell her pictures commercially...she posed for them while in a relationship ....and she's far from the only one on that stage that did such a thing, I am sure. Its the guy who acted like a dog and brought them to the publics attention.
