Head on collision

A very close friend of mine had an accident yesterday, a bad one. I didn't find out until today.
I don't know how to say this, a 17 year old was killed, my friend was driving a loaded rock truck, it was head on, her fault.

I'm hurting so bad for the family of this child and for my friend who told me the story, again and again.

God why?

I am so sorry Jules, my heart goes out to everyone. Not too long ago, my cousin and her boyfriend were on his Harley and were hit from the side from a car driven by a 16 year old in New Hampshire. She was speeding and the last thing my cousin saw was a car well over the double yellow line and then CRASH. My cousin had a broken collarbone, 6 broken ribs, a fractured skull, a broken thumb and a shattered ankle. She might lose her leg in December due to infection. She spent 3 months in a Boston hospital after she was medflighted from the scene. She has two small children from a previous marriage and was very very VERY lucky that she didn't die. Her boyfriend also had a shattered leg, broken ribs, and the whole front of his skull was crushed in. He had to have many plastic surgeries. I feel for anyone deeply affected by a car accident, especially so when it results in death.

God bless the family of this girl. I hope your friend is ok!

He's the kind of person who hides his feelings, God Bless him, he's hurting so bad right now and I know it. He's the kind of guy who wouldn't hurt a fly, has a daughter who will turn 3 years old Sunday, he's so proud of her.
I've been crying for him and the family of the girl all afternoon.

He's crying too, but won't let it show. Dammmit.
I love this guy. He doesn't need this **** right now, the family of this baby girl doesn't either.

I just talked to my friend and the father called him, he didn't have any blame for my friend and was understanding. Maybe God smiles after all...

We all feel very badly for those who are suffering a loss & those who were involved. It was an accident...something that was not done on purpose. Why then did someone have to die & why didn't God do something? We are not promised a paradise on earth. We grieve, we suffer, we comfort, we learn, we teach, we hope, we live,...for others. We're here for you.
