LA Confidential is still my favorite all-around cop movie, with "Colors" being a close second.

I liked French Connection for the chase scene, but the best chases were on "Ronin." Although not a cop movie, where else can you see Sully from "Third Watch" ramming expensive European machinery around?

Ooooo, I forgot about those movies, Siggy. Excellent choices. My fave LE movie though is The Untouchables. Great flick!

                  Now that's scary. [Eek!]

Well, it's not really a cop movie, but it has an undercover cop in it. "State of Grace". Even if it's not really centered around the uniformed copper, it sure is a helluva movie!

Dunno if I am in the minority, but I loved Traffic. Training Day was a good movie, but Denzell's character left such a bad taste in my mouth after the movie was over.

I liked "The Bad Lieutenant" when Harvey Keitel tells his sons what to tell their aunt when she takes too long in the bathroom when they need to get ready for school.

ONLY Keitel could have played THAT character.....

I completely forgot about The Untouchables. That was an AWESOME movie, and probably the best role Kevin Costner's ever played (and he's had a lot of turkeys for movies!). I think I'll buy it on DVD.

So now Colors has dropped to third, and the The Untouchables is #2 on my list! Thanks Katey
