*Sigh...*
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A veteran police officer will be formally relieved of her duties Friday after drugs allegedly were found in her home.
E.S., a seven-year veteran of the Louisville Police Department, and her husband, face charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, and trafficking in marijuana, NewsChannel 32's Abby Miller reported.
"This is so frustrating," Louisville Police Chief Greg Smith said Friday. "It's disgusting, and it's embarrassing. We have a lot of good people working hard and doing a thankless job every day, and something like this casts a shadow over all of them."
Officers allegedly found three ounces of crack and powdered cocaine in their home in the south end early Friday morning. Also allegedly found at the home were several ounces of marijuana and $2,000 in illegal proceeds. The drugs were reportedly packaged for sale.
