I would have let Dolores have her way with me. The heck with her mother being in the next room!

        Great topic!

Nothing against my children or my husband, I love them with all my heart. But, I would have waited to get married. I think 21 is too young. I am not saying that we're not good for each other, we've been married for 10 years and plan to continue the trend for the rest of our lives. Hubby had gone to bootcamp and was due to report to Fort Myers Beach and I wouldn't have seen him but once a year. I dumped the rest of college and got married. Whoah....I would have done that differently. I would have learned to have some patience and maybe moved to where he was stationed, found myself a place and a full time job and finished up college. But you see...his parents are old school and would have looked differently upon me if I had moved close to their son fully knowing that we'd be together ALL of the time. I didn't want to disappoint them or have them see me in a different light, so we did the "right thing" and made it official before being together. I have a habit of respecting people too much and trying to make everyone but myself happy.

Secondly, we would have waited a few more years before having children. After we got married, we had no obligations to anyone or anything except the military. He was doing great with his career, but I should have finished college in Florida. Instead we got pregnant and went into debt. Some debt that we are still paying for!! Huge mistake.

So all you kids out there who are IN LOVE... Take the more mature route and have PATIENCE! If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was meant to be. One doesn't think about the long term scenario if you jump into marriage and pregnancy head first.

Today we are left with debt just so our kids can have everything, that had I gone to college, they would have had.

There's one important thing I WOULD NOT EVER CHANGE given the chance again. I wouldn't change being a stay-at-home Mom.

Money is not everything, but it certainly does help and makes life a little less stressful.!

I would NOT have gotten any credit cards! And I would not have gone to college for criminal justice having recently changed my major. Other than that, I'm happy with where I'm at and where I'm going.

                      You know...not much.

I'm not too far away from 18. There are a few changes I'd make...I would have started exercising when I was younger, I would have avoided the pot, would have made school and God a larger priority...

But I would have still married my wife, still gone into teaching, and still wanted to be me. No real regrets, especially since I'm still young enough to fix many of those mistakes.

But I do need to get my @$$ in gear...

As weird as this may sound, I wouldn't change a thing. I think every stupid mistake I ever made, helped make me the man I am today. Every time I did something stupid that at the time I thought would ruin my life. I can reflect on and see that it helped me out some how in the long run. I can

                          Yanno drew...you're right.

I've been sitting here thinking about this topic while I work on cleaning out my desk. (Three more days and off to the new job!!!)

The things that we encounter in our lives molds us and makes us who we are today. Why would anyone want to change that? Sure, we all have done many a stupid thing, it's a part of growing up and finding out who we are.

So, I'd like to change my answer slightly. There are some things that I would like to change, but for the most part, I'm happy with my life.
