    (music) HELP!!!

    I have been downloading music on and off all day. I want to again make a specific cd but with certain music only. I'm now in a rut. I'm brain dead today. Here's where you all come in.

    I'm looking for CLASSIC ROCK only. Let's see what youse have got for me. (yes, I know, it's not proper English, it's Philly speak)

    BTW, I downloaded all the other suggestions on the 70's and 80's. They were great. Thank you so much for all of them, and as with all this I'm asking for now, thanks in advance.

      Thank you, shooter. Time for me to be a PITA. Since I'm lazy and brain dead today, titles would be awesome so I don't have to do a million searches. TY!!

      One more thing, I'm not just looking for the songs that were popular, if they were good - great even - I want them!

        I wish I could help but I don't listen to classic rock much(I like AC DC and Zep though).
        Myabe you can help me buy telling me where you are downloading from. I can't find anything bettre than the old Napster.

          I was using WinMx but uninstalled it when Fllawdog told me about Kazaa. It's a lot like Napster, which I really miss. Not the same, but close enough.

          What kind of music you do listen to, TG?

            I use Kazaa Lite and WinMX, Win generally gives better search results I think.

            Try a Google search on 70's music, or any other genre. Once you get some titles in mind, it'll go a lot easier.

                Well Katey I am really open for anything.
                Well except about 99% of all country I don't like it.
                I mostly listen to top 40(mostly the '80s), hip-hop and some rap music. The last two are pretty much unpopular withen the LEO community but that is what I grew up with when I was on the East Coast.
                My all time favorite band is The Dave Matthews Band. I began to listen to them when they were hitting the "college" circuit back in VA.
                I am going to hook into K***a. Thanks for letting me know.

                  TG, I saw the DMB a few years ago in Philly at Vet's Stadium. I had nosebleed seats, so I didn't enjoy the concert as much as I wanted to.

                  I absolutely love him. For awhile, I stopped listening to anything from him, but now almost everyday at work, I listen to at least one cd from him.

                  By far, my fave cd is Before These Crowded Streets. I love the entire cd, but Pantala Naga Pampa and Rapunzel are my faves. I could listen to that cd over and over and over again, and I don't think I'd get sick of it.

                  If I had to pick my favorite DM song, I'd go with Rapunzel - no wait, probably Ants Marching.

                          If I go, it would only be to see Good Charlotte. I'm not really that crazy about the line-up. Coldplay is all right, but I can take 'em or leave 'em. I think the big turn-off is Billy Corgan. I never liked him. I have no interest in seeing him at all, no matter which band he's playing with.

                            well, i agree with just about everything you said. if i go, it will be for Good Charlotte, tho i also like New Found Glory. Billy Corgan is too full of himself IMO. and i like Coldplay's couple of hits, but wouldnt normally go see them. i think the Fez and Feastival lineups are going downhill

                            when i go to work Tuesday, i will see if my 2 friends there want to go. if they do, i'll go. otherwise no.
