They haven't updated the website yet, but here is a related link: http://enquirer.com/editions/2001/09...rdless_of.html

If you recall, this shooting sparked 3 days of riots in Cincinnati. Hope this verdict doesn't get them riled up again.

Glad to hear it. I didn't really think his chances were very good considering the racial issue and the chance of more riots. Perhaps they just decided to do what was right.

I just read the story on a local newspaper website. In the article it stated that he chased after the suspect with his finger on the trigger, of his service weapon. Is that a fact? I know in our Department, they would attempt to hang us on that. Finally, I wish the Officer the best in the future, and hope he keeps his job.

I'm so glad for him. He was just doing his job and this is how he was thanked.

Special prosecutor Stephen McIntosh expressed disappointment in the decision.

''For police officers, there is a standard that they must follow,'' McIntosh said. ''Officers cannot just go out ducking their responsibilities because they feel like it.''

what a bunch of idiots...i guess the reverend jackson may have to put his peace mission with the afghanis on hold until he can bring peace to this matter first

                      I'll post, You argue.

I just heard this morning about the riots last night. What do people think this accomplishes? The thing that gets me is that they tear up their own city, that is so stupid! People need to focus their energy on something more beneficial. I just don't understand it.

Oh sure.. there were minor disturbances last night but nothing compared to the violence of April. I think it was mostly punks starting small fires, none of them structure fires etc..

Actually I think with the movement caused by the WTC attacks.. the movement of thanking police and fire/ems personnel, that has stemmed a lot of the violence from erupting.
