  • Slight Problem (a REAL PITA)

I don't know how I did it, but I managed to delete ALL the addresses in my email addy book! Does anybody know if there is anyway to recover these? I'm not even sure how I did it, but discovered it was empty when I fired up the old computer this morning.

If you have a backup of the hard drive you can restore it, if not they are likely lost.

Could be something to do with age.

I am not a computer expert but I have solved mega problems just by trial and error. Try search on FIND PEOPLE and see what happens. Heck, I would even try the recycle bin and all archives even though they aren't related!

          Good luck!!

P.S. Don't tell Niteshift I am asking this but how many smilies would equal 5kb's?
          Just wondering only!!!

            Don,
Make sure you still have "main identities" highligted as your default. If shared contacts are highlighted, it will most likely be blank. Try that and see if it works.

              Don,

Thanks for the tip, but I do still have the main identity in use. It's the only one I have with this addy.

This depends on the smelly smilie! Right click on the image, then left click on the properties and it will tell you the size right above the address.

Don: Candid Camera caught you on tape just when you discovered the missing addys.

Wish I could help you, but I'm too new at this myself.

Wonderwoman: I'm still working on that measurement also.

I see no "properties" when I right click. To find this out, I have to save it and I don't want to!

Mitzi, normally when you right click to save an image, down at the bottom is "Properties". If you click on that, it will show you the size of the file.

                      Good luck

Well, it's a little different for me. I hit "save as" and then hit details and it tells me the size of the graphic without me having to save it. I no longer really want to link from a web page. What I'm trying to figure out is how to insert a file from my own files into a post. Haven't figured that out tho.

                          Mitzi...

You need to link the graphic from a site that is already on the Internet. Linking the graphic from your hard drive (C:\) will not work.

MSN and Yahoo both have "homepages" that are easy to use. Yahoo uses a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) design program that works well. Once you upload the the graphic using the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) you can link to it from that location.

                          Good Luck!
