  • I was ARRESTED after telling the truth on a background packet!

This sucks guys. I came on here a while back and asked for honest, sincere replies before I applied to the San Diego PD and all I got was a bunch of flak accusing me of being a "sick mother*** who deserves to die" and everyone telling me that I would never be a cop. Well, because of you all I won't be a cop...well at least not for a little while anyway.

At the time, I thought the only good advice I got was to "always tell the truth in the background packet"..... So I did in my recent application. Well you know what!? It got me arrested! You so called "cops" on here entraped me! I smell a LAWSUIT!

Anyways, to the actual point of this thread. I have another, very serious question. If I had a friend who told the truth on a background packet but then got arrested for it only after being entraped by the police on a police forum is it possible for my friend to still work for the CIA and also win the lawsuit? Please, only real, honest answers!

Also, how much time do I have to volunteer to make up for being arrested on felony charges? I figure if I volunteer like 1,000 hours to some charity it will offset all my misunderstandings. If it's more than a 1,000 hours please let me know.

Thank You! As soon as I am released from jail I will continue to patrol the mean, dangerous streets of my town. I know what you're thinking.... yes, I am prepared. Don't worry brothers and sisters, I will be safe. I have a brand new crown vic with the decal glue still visibile. I have the mounted spot light and grill guard. Also, I have a blue security uniform that looks like a police uniform with a gold badge. I am very familar with the laws and know that I can open carry. Regardless, I have my CPL, but I think that it is important for the bad guys to know that I am tough and have a gun so I will only open carry.

Update: I recently found a dog roaming around the streets. He is now my new police dog. I think I will also turn this into a business venture and contract my services out to any PD's that require my services. Just check out my website if you have any questions!

Be safe out there, I know I will! (after I get this legal issue squared away) Again, thank you for your advice but please, only tell me things that I want to hear.

Here is the story behind the story:

The question read, which asked applicants if they have ever had sexual contact with a child, had a yes answer.

Question No. 175, which asked applicants if they have ever viewed, purchased, sold or subscribed to child pornography, also received a yes response.

Has to be only a matter of time before he shows up here, asking the questions noted above. As I recall, his wife, G/F, SO, has already gone on record as more or less stating he got shafted because he was honest. Yep, he'll be here shortly, and he'll get all pizzed when we tell him he can't be a Cop.

I recall early on in my career when I ran across such a case...Well not exactly like this but close.

I was working transportation detail (pickup arrestees and bring them to lockup) and had occasion to collect an applicant who in the course of their application checked YES to the question about having committed any serious, but undetected crime. During the interview they elaborated that they and a friend stole a neighbors car. When things progressed it was disclosed that said stolen car was parked out front of the station and was presently occupied by the friend.

They make police work seem easy.

I'll team up and be your partner Michigan. We'll do kind of a citizens on patrol thing but we won't tell anyone we're just citizens and have no training that could possibly prevent us from harming others or getting ourselves killed. It will be great!

Also, every other Tuesday we'll get some of our mom's old pantyhose to make masks out of and dress like super heroes!

Michigan, you should be good to go! It was entrapment on the part of the Police when you filled out the background packet! They were fishing for pedophiles and you got caught in their net. The Second Amendment is your salvation! Daisy chain it to your court case and you should prevail!

Continue to peruse this Forum, there are many who support you and offer there $.02 without having a clue how to do the job.

I guess in this case the phrase "the truth hurts" really is applicable!
