  • Crazed Naked Guy on NYC Subway (video)

Citizens help the cop subdue the guy for an arrest. I'm thinking a tazer would have been handy in this situation... and back up. Enjoy

Adds a whole new meaning to going hands on doesn't it...
It's not the will to win that matters...everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters.

Then you'll have to throw your ASP and get a new one.

Eh, wear rubber gloves and clean it with lots of alcohol.

The guy was naked and all, but why would that officer just stand there while he's attacking people? Looking at his belt, it's obvious he has an array of weapons not to mention I'm sure a cop would know how to fight.

NYPD currently only issues Taser to trained SGTs and up, not the officers.

If you knew how NYPD operates day to day operation under the watchful eyes of Mr. Bloomberg and citizen watch groups, you'd understand why he didn't take immediate physical action.

I understand, but the guy was acting like an animal grabbing people and everything. You would assume no one would target an officer trying to stop that. If I were a cop, I'd rather get blamed for doing my job, than blamed for watching due to fear of public opinion.

                          +1 Too true

To be honest I feel in a crowded subway setting like that he did a decent job, It's a miracle the guy didn't go flying on to the tracks.

and for you people who don't live in the city... this isn't something out of the norm, Just another day riding the 6 train

A friend of mine in Housing said that cops in NYC will get thrown under the bus for doing anything proactive or preemptively. Unfortunate but true.

It's a shame. It's hard to do ones job when big brother is watching you. he fact that he would of used LEGAL force and still been criticized is soooo messed up...
