Corey Lewis, 21, of 360 Woodland St., was arrested Thursday morning on weapons and assault charges.
Police said Lewis was approached by his landlord about 11:33 a.m. in the parking lot of the apartment he sublets. The two began arguing and Lewis brandished a semi-automatic gun, police said.
He cocked the gun in an attempt to shoot the landlord, according to police. When the gun failed to discharge, Lewis pistol-whipped his landlord across the face.
