  • Knife found in no-no place.

A Fort Myers woman was arrested on drug charges early Sunday morning after providing false information to a Lee County Sheriff's deputy.

Whitney Noelle Krimmel, 26, was witnessed by deputies in an apparent fight with another woman on Danley Drive just after 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

When the deputy stopped to question the women, Krimmel provided him with a false name.

According to a police report, the deputy witnessed both women growing increasingly nervous as he worked to confirm their identities.

A female deputy was called to the scene to perform pat downs of the women.

When the female deputy arrived, she confirmed from past jail contact that Krimmel was lying about her identity.

She was placed under arrest for providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.

Upon a further search, deputies discovered 25 different prescription drugs totaling over 350 pills inside Krimmel's purse

The other woman was also searched. She was also found with a variety of prescription drugs totaling over 300 pills.

After she was searched, the other woman became ill and was transported to the hospital. It was there that medical staff discovered another bottle of pills and a knife hidden in a roll of fat in her stomach, as well as an additional knife hidden in her vagina.

Further investigation revealed that the woman had an active injunction against Krimmel that Krimmel was violating.

Krimmel was placed under arrest and charged with 25 counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, 11 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of false identification given to a law enforcement officer.

This profession is not for people looking for positive reinforcement from the public. Very often it can be a thankless job and you can't desire accolades, because those are not usually forthcoming. Just do your job to the best of your ability and live with the decisions you've made.
