  • Hmm, Interesting Way To Avoid DUI

$65 if you make a reservation. Haha!

Obviously this is better than drinking and driving, but yet I still feel there is something inherently wrong with it... I dunno. As long as it keeps innocent drivers from getting killed by people too lazy/cheap to take a cab home.

I like this one better, cheaper too. ZINGO

    One too many to drive?
    -Call 888- ZINGO-11 (946-4611)
-Your fully insured driver arrives on a folding motorbike
-Folds it, bags it, puts it in your trunk
    -Takes your keys
    -Drives you home
    -Thanks Zingo!

ZINGO will also be at many local drinking establishments (depending on event schedules and day of the week!) So you can grab a driver on your way out of the bar!

To see how it works in pictures, check out the image gallery.

    Pricing:
NON-Members- $10 pick up fee plus $3 per mil

A friend of mine got a tow truck to take him and his car home a few years ago. Great idea.

At one watering hole that I frequented(in a small town even) they used a service called "alert cab"...if a person got wasted the bartender would cut them off UNLESS they agreed to the alert cab ride...then the drinker paid part of the fee and the bar paid some as I recall, and the bartender got the drivers car keys.
Just pay your dues, and be quiet :-)

I used to work with a guy who would get smashed on a nightly basis...
when he left the bar, he would order a pizza from the next door pizza delivery shop, meet the driver in the lot and pay him extra to let him ride with him to his house.

As an MP, soldiers could call us to pick them up and bring them home. No questions asked. Even if they were under 21.

Good idea. I have AAA and can get a free tow up to 100 miles. I wonder how long before they caught one.

Wish we had that here. Very good idea, obviously the reason most people do drive drunk is because they dont want to leave their vehicle behind....

I once worked for a liquor company, and all employees were authorized to buy a taxi for anyone we felt should not be driving at any time and we would be reimbursed for the fare.

Heck, it’s a good program, they deserve the pub. It was Jim Beam.
