  • Angry Taco Bell Customer Fires on Officers

SAN ANTONIO - Police say a San Antonio Taco Bell customer enraged that the seven burritos he ordered had gone up in price fired an air gun at an employee and later fired an assault rifle at officers before barricading himself into a hotel room.
San Antonio police Sgt. Chris Benavides says officers used tear gas Sunday night to force the man from the hotel room after a three-hour standoff. The man is charged with three counts of attempted capital murder. Authorities have not released his name.

Brian Tillerson, a manager at the Taco Bell/KFC restaurant, told the San Antonio Express-News that the man was angry the Beefy Crunch Burrito had gone from 99 cents to $1.49 each.

Police say the man fired on officers during a traffic stop after the restaurant incident.

I once ordered a sub I thought was a 5 dollar footlong, but it was actually 7.50!

There were no shootings involved other than a look of shock and then a look of depression after I realized that I had to pay up.

Man that guy wouldve lost his lid here (not saying he didnt lose his lid already). We had a Taco Bell/KFC one time, not to long ago actually, then all of a sudden it was just a KFC. Over night we lost our Taco Bell. Now we have to drive 60 miles for Taco Bell. What is this world coming to?

            Wow.

Usually the only kind of assault I commit after leaving Taco Bell is towards my bathroom.

            Too graphic?

The officers did not have to wait out there on a 3 hour stand off. All they had to do was bribe him with a bag of crunchy beef burritos and he would have ran outside. Throw in a choco taco desert along with that, and he would have also completed his own paperwork.

My local Taco Bell sells tacos for $.59 each 24/7/365; or, you can get 12 tacos for $10.00. They have banners proclaiming these in separate windows on the same side of the building.

If it was me, I’d have weighed the $3.50 vs the cost of a magazine of assault rifle ammunition, and then come to an informed decision. In this situation I’d probably have ended up using a baseball bat.

But that’s just me, I’m an analytical guy.
