DALLAS — An affidavit alleges that a Texas man kidnapped and tortured a 62-year-old woman by tying her to a homemade rack used for skinning deer.

Jeffrey Maxwell remained jailed in Parker County on Tuesday charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault. His bond is set at $400,000.

Investigators found the woman at Maxwell's Corsicana home south of Dallas on Saturday. She had gone missing from her home in rural Parker County west of Fort Worth on March 4.

The probable cause affidavit says the 58-year-old Maxwell acknowledged taking the woman at gunpoint and driving her to his home, where he "strung her up" on the rack in his garage.

According to the affidavit, Maxwell says he was paid $2,500 by unnamed individuals to make the woman "go away."

he deserves it. I'm also guessing that he got to be 58 by being in prison for some time.

I could be wrong but isn't admitting to being paid to make someone "go away" a potential conspiracy to commit murder charge ?

In parts of south Louisiana, that is considered "foreplay".
