  • ANOTHER stupid McDonalds lawsuit - bagels and teeth

    http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/T/TOUGH_BAGEL?SITE=DCTMS&SECTION=HOME

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A couple is suing the franchisee of a McDonald's restaurant, claiming an improperly prepared bagel damaged the husband's teeth and their marriage.

God i hope they don't have any children!!

    I'll post, You argue.

I've heard of people biting or chewing on food in a restaurant & breaking a tooth because something was in the food that was not supposed to be there but an improperly prepared bagel? I've seen dinner rolls at banquets hard enough to use as a hockey puck. He should have known when he picked it up whether his dentures would allow it. The way it reads now put it with the fat kids lawsuit...in the trash.

Ya know...maybe next time I go into a restaurant I could blister my tongue with HOT coffee. I could use a little extra cash right now.

        JEEZZ!! Where does it end???

Lawyers will make a dollar any way they can!

as for bagels and teeth: i worked with two people at my last job who NEVER ordered bagels or bagel sandwiches with the rest of us... one of them had extensive bridgework and one had dentures. i had seen them eat big sandwiches, candy, apples... but they would NOT eat bagels. they said they were bad news for false teeth.

AND i will say that the ones i've had at McD's in the morning (toasted), were like ROCK. but i still wouldnt sue.

Why... why can't stupidity be a capital offense?..

I can. 35% of any out of court settlement McD's is sure to shell out is worth the time and effort it takes to look a camera dead in the eye and say my client is a freakin' idiot and deserves to be paid for it. There are the same people who are suing gun manufacturers for murders and tobacco companies for cancer.

I can see it now, the defense has a dentist who would say that there are certain foods verboten to that type of dentistry...such as chewy bagels. Of course then the plaintiff would call the moron, I mean victim's, dentist and ask "did you specifically instruct him, in writing, not to eat bagels?" Of course the dentist will probably say "no, I thought my patient had common sense and I was dead-wrong."

The real reason the dentist didn't warn the moron/patient/plaintiff is that he was afraid of being sued by McDonald's for defamation. [Eek!]
